Homecoming at Cedarville is one of the University's largest events
Cedarville University's Homecoming weekend is a large annual celebration bringing thousands of alumni and guests to campus. An event of this scale requires a robust brand capable of extending to digital ads, print invitations, event signage, registration booths, and more. I was tasked with designing the Homecoming logo and supporting brand with the goal of creating a brand that could be used annually for years to come. It had to feel unique to Homecoming but also feel at home with the main University brand.

Placemaking Signage
Thousands of alumni and guests come to Cedarville University's campus every year for Homecoming, so to help their weekend feel special and excited signage is installed around campus, ranging from lamp post banners to painting the Rock, a large bolder on campus that students spray paint with various messages throughout the year.

These signs allow guests to access a website that takes them on a virtual tour of various buildings on campus.

Lamp post banners were installed around the lake at the center of campus to celebrate Homecoming weekend.

Painting the Rock on campus is a big part of campus life for students. The Homecoming team wanted to paint the logo on the Rock to help alumni feel at home, so I designed a stencil to paint accomplish the task.
Registration Signage
The Alumni department had two tables for registration, day-of registration and check-in for guests who registered early. Beyond providing navigation for registrants, Alumni wanted the registration stations to make guests feel like they were entering Homecoming and help them get excited about the weekend ahead.

Navigation Signage
Homecoming weekend is a large event with numerous activites, so navigational signage was an important part of this job. I focused on creating a legible signage system, prioritizing typography, however the bold gold and blue of the Homecoming brand let the signs stand out.
