The Transformed Tour

Cedarville University launched a bus tour in 2022, which they named the Transformed Tour. The goal was to tour the country and provide an uplifting Christian worship and speaking night to alumni and friends of the University, as well as raise awareness of all the exciting growth happening at the University. As an in-house graphic designer at Cedarville University I collaborated with the design team to develop a full brand identity for the tour. Once the brand was established I was assigned the task of developing and implementing it for the tour across a broad application of media, including a tour bus wrap, printed invitations, digital advertising, event signage, and more.

Graphic Elements

Elements_triangles

I used a grid based on triangles to create consistent angles in my layouts and to create patterns to tie various elements together like photography, negative space and type.

Elements_grunge

I used gradients to bring vibrant color and movement to the brand. I also developed a halftone texture to add pops of color and bridge the divide between images, gradient backgrounds and negative space.

Elements_photos

I chose images that helped communicate what the tour was and set the tone and energy of the events. I color graded them to complement the color scheme of the brand.

Elements_grain

I used grain effects to add grit and depth to backgrounds and photography. It helped unify all the elements in a layout.

The Tour Bus Wrap

The bus wrap was a new and exciting challenge, it was essentially a driving billboard, so I wanted to create something that was eye catching and full of energy. I had to balance representing both the tour and the University, which I did by dedicating one side of the bus to each. They seamlessly merged together across the front and back of the bus, creating a full graphic wrap that definitely left an impression.
